Rhys Nordstrom
Principal Mining Consultant
Rhys' experience covers 20 years and includes open cut mining, with some underground proficiency, predominantly in the coal industry. Since 2002, he has worked on a range of mine operations throughout Eastern Australia. This experience includes long-term through to short-term planning, mine design incorporating draglines and truck/shovel, and relieving in a number of in-house engineering roles. Rhys' skills and expertise include total mine strategy and optimisation, dragline and truck/shovel operations, haulage analysis, mine reserving and scheduling, conceptual studies, due diligence on acquisitions, and mentoring and training whilst using a number of mining software packages.
Rhys holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining)
